Advocacy and the Vulnerable Course [online]

Training for advocates working with children and vulnerable witnesses. 

This event is being run remotely.

Following developments and updated Government guidance in relation to the COVID-19 virus (Coronavirus) the Inn is operating a minimum service. Please see our dedicated Covid-19 page for the latest updates on the Inn’s response to Covid-19. 

Training materials have been prepared by the Inns of Court College of Advocacy (ICCA) and training is being delivered by the Inns and Circuits. Sessions will be led by barristers and judges who have been trained to facilitate the sessions. It is anticipated that Advocacy and the Vulnerable training will become mandatory for any advocate wishing to undertake publicly funded work in serious sexual offence cases involving vulnerable witnesses.

This course is open to barrister members of all four Inns. 

Cost: Free
Equivalent to 11 CPD hours (view the Bar Standards Board guidance for CPD)
