Career Services
Our Careers Service is here to support and guide student members towards reaching their potential.
Feedback and advice on your application form and/or CV
We hold two pupillage advice events each year at which student members meet with a barrister who gives them detailed feedback on draft applications and advice in general.
Ad hoc meetings with barrister members
We help student members find out more about particular areas of law and a career at the Bar by arranging ad hoc meetings with barrister members of the Inn.
Mock interviews
Should a student member have a forthcoming pupillage interview, we can arrange a mock interview with feedback.
Mentor Scheme
The mentoring Scheme matches student members with a local barrister practising in the area of law of interest to the student. The on going relationship is a valuable source of guidance on all aspects of a career at the Bar.
Court Pupillages (Marshalling)
We arrange for student members to spend up to 5 days marshalling a judge. An excellent opportunity to improve insight into the role of the judiciary, court procedure and styles of advocacy.
