Advocacy training
- Practise delivering examination in chief of witnesses that is clear, well-organised and persuasive.
- Practise delivering cross-examination of witnesses that is clear, well-organised and persuasive.
- Consider content and advocacy skills for a closing speech.
- Demonstrate confidence in advocacy, incorporating feedback from trainers.
- This QS relates to the following elements of the Professional Statement for Barristers: 1.3, 1.5, 1.8, 1.11, 1.15, 1.17, 2.6, 3.1, 3.4, 4.1
Ethics, standards and values
- Discuss ethical dilemmas in the context of professional practice.
