The Hamilton Misadventure: The Story of Tonight.

Join the Temple American Inn of Court and the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn in an inaugural Joint Inn Programme exploring the contrasting expectations and ethics in the US and UK with respect to lawyer involvement in witness statements and testimony.

Despite the shared heritage in the common law our two systems have, opinions about lawyer involvement in the preparation of witnesses for testimony could not be more different. Join the Inns as we explore these contrasting attitudes and issues in the context of a legal dispute arising from a misadventure during a performance of the hit musical “Hamilton” which will be played out in parallel on Broadway and the West End respectively. This will be an innovative and enjoyable programme, with a little rapping to boot, and we encourage you to attend as we ask whether the divergent approaches of our two legal systems makes any difference to the outcome?
