For six days in March and April the Finance team in Gray’s Inn provided work experience to a young woman, who had been airlifted out of Kabul by the RAF in August. She was an economics graduate who had been working in finance and accountancy in Afghanistan and is looking to train here. She provided us with a good picture of the difficulties faced by refugees.
We were very happy to help and are grateful to Sasha Blackmore and Jacqueline Lean from Landmark Chambers for initiating this.
She is actively seeking training and work in these areas, and if any other Member of the Inn would be able to offer a programme of internship or apprenticeship for her, please contact Dermot Doughty, the Director of Finance at Gray’s Inn.
