Further to the team’s victory in the UK & Ireland National Championships, Gray’s Inn reached the octofinal (final 16) of the Jessup Moot global rounds. This involved 13 moots against teams from around the world in the preliminary rounds, advanced rounds and elimination rounds.
The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot is the world’s largest and most prestigious mooting competition. This year, in a revised virtual form, 574 teams took part in the largest global rounds competition in Jessup history.
At the closing ceremony on Sunday, the Gray’s Inn team won the award for the ‘Best New Law School’ in recognition of their accomplishments and the fact that it was the first time ever that Gray’s has participated in the competition. This is the second award that will be added to the Inn’s cabinet, alongside the UK Jessup Cup.
