Standing Orders                                              

The Inn’s Standing Orders (March 2021, PDF) contains general information regarding the Inn, its committees and members. This includes information regarding:

  • how the Inn is run
  • the Inn’s Standing Committees
  • the election and retirement of Masters of the Bench
  • Fellows of the Inn

Memorandum of Understanding 

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) exists between the Inns of Court. and the Bar Standards Board (BSB). It recognises the vital role that the Inns have in the education, training and qualification of barristers in England and Wales. This MOU sets out the roles and responsibilities of the Parties in relation to the education, training and qualification of barristers of England and Wales and is concerned with matters prior to Call to the Bar.

As a result of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and data sharing protocol we have with the Bar Standards Board, we share member information with the Bar Standards Board for the stated purposes set out in the MoU data sharing protocol.
