The Rt Hon Lady Justice Geraldine Andrews, DBE, PC, Master Treasurer of Gray’s Inn 2025 and His Excellency Vikram K. Doraiswami, High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom invite you to attend a lecture by Judge Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai, Chief Justice of India.

An introduction will be made by Lady Arden of Heswall, former Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom and Justice Vikram Nath, Judge, Supreme Court of India.
His Excellency Doraiswami and Lady Justice Andrews will also speak.
Followed by a reception and an opportunity to view Archival material relating to Dr Ambedkar.
Called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn in 1922, Dr Ambedkar was a crusader for social justice and the chief architect of India’s Constitution which secured social and fundamental legal rights and equality for its citizens and was the first Law and Justice Minister of independent India. Gray’s Inn is proud of our connection to this Barrister, economist, politician, reformer and his continuing impact on India and the wider world.
