About Lucinda Orr
Further to a Commercial pupillage and work in US firms in London and New York, Lucinda Orr is now a Partner at Disputes Specialist firm, Enyo Law LLP, in the City of London. She has a broad international commercial disputes practice and has acted in some of the most high-value and complex litigation in front of the English Courts in recent years.
Formerly a Chair of BACFI and also the Employed Barristers’ Committee, she is currently the Treasurer of the Bar Council of England and Wales.
- About Timothy Manley
About Timothy ManleyTim Manley was called to the bar at Gray’s Inn in 2014. He works for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office as an assistant legal adviser in the Europe, Human Rights and Trade Team and is one of the UK’s agents to the European Court of Human Rights. He currently works on international humanitarian law, international human rights law, multilateral organisations and bilateral relations with North, Western and Central Europe.
Prior to joining the FCDO, Tim completed pupillage at the Government Legal Department and worked as an employed barrister in the Cabinet Office.
- About Simon Regis CBE
About Simon Regis CBESimon Regis CBE is a Deputy Director at the Government Legal Department (GLD) leading a team advising on Science, Intellectual Property and Space, at the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology. He is a Master of the Bench at the Honourable Society of Inner Temple focusing on EDI matters, education and training.
Simon was one of the co-chairs of the Bar Council’s Race Panel, but has recently stepped back from that role, following his election as Vice-Chair to the Employed Bar Committee.

About Birgitte Hagem
Birgitte was called to the Bar in 2012 and joined the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) as a pupil in the same year. Her areas of expertise cover organised criminal offending with an international remit, primarily linked to prohibited drugs and firearms, as well cybercrime.
In 2021 she moved to the Special Crime and Counter Terrorism Division.

About Julija Stukalina
Julija Stukalina is a Senior Associate at Nautica Law LLP, a firm specialising in shipping and commodities. She primarily deals with arbitration and litigation arising out of charterparties, bills of lading, and bunker supply contracts (with some transactional work in ship sale). She moved to employed practice in 2019 after finishing her pupillage at Twenty Essex.
She sits on the Employed Bar Committee and is a Member of Gray’s Inn. She read law as an undergraduate, followed by a masters in law at Oxford.
- About John-Paul Fitzgibbon
About Commander John-Paul Fitzgibbon, Royal Navy
John-Paul joined the Royal Navy in 2005 as a warfare officer navigating 4 warships before his Command appointment in HMS Tyne. Following a period of time on the Staff at Britannia Royal Naval College, in Dartmouth, he was selected for training as a member of the naval bar. His current practice is Crime and Public International law, with a particular focus on the lawfulness of new weapons, means and methods of warfare. He is a member of the Gray’s Inn Barrister Committee and a trustee of the Pegasus scholarship scheme.
Following a drinks reception hosted by The Bar Council, Gray’s will host the annual Gray’s Inn Employed Bar Dinner for Members of all four Inns.
