Annette Henry KC, is a Wellbeing Consultant, Work Life Coach and Founder of Owning Your Wellbeing. She is the first dual qualified KC and MH practitioner in the UK. At the Bar she specialised in mental health law within criminal defence work and started her consultancy to achieve more positive outcomes in mental fitness and wellbeing in professional practice. She has built a unique career at the intersection of law and wellbeing that also incorporates elite sporting techniques to help navigate ‘Life at the Bar’ and beyond the courtroom.

Qualifying Session (QS): 1 QS

Theme: Prep for Pupillage Career Development and Wellbeing

Learning aims: 

1. Understand the psychological impact of rejection/setback which a barrister encounters in their work and how to respond positively.
2. Consider situations which may arise in the early years of practice, which can lead to heightened emotions and can overwhelm.
3. Understand the support offered in the profession which can help equip practitioners to deal with these situations.

This QS relates to the following elements of the Professional Statement for Barristers:

1.10, 2.5, 2.6, 4.2, 4.3

Preparation required: No

To be awarded the QS for this event you are required to join the event on time  and stay for the full duration of the event. Please enter your full name when joining the event so that we can record attendance and update the QS records accordingly. This can take up to two weeks.
