Mixed Messes provides an opportunity to socialise in small groups with Benchers and Members of Hall and to learn about the Inn and the profession.
The evening begins with a drinks reception where you can meet other attendees and later dine with barrister and judicial members of the Inn. Dinner is preceded by a lecture given by a guest of the Treasurer.

Lord Pannick KCLord Pannick KC is a Bencher of Gray’s Inn and practices at Blackstone Chambers. He is one of the Bar’s most highly regarded advocates, predominantly practising in Public Law & Human Rights and Constitutional Law, specialising in appellate advocacy. He has acted in a many of the leading public law cases of the last 30 years, appearing in 100 cases in the Appellate Committee of the House of Lords (before it became the Supreme Court), more than 25 cases in the Supreme Court, more than 25 cases in the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg and over 30 cases in the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. He appears both for Claimants and for Respondents – whether government departments or other public bodies. Lord Pannick was called to the Bar by Gray’s Inn in 1979 and was appointed to silk in 1992. He became a Crossbench Peer in 2008. |
