The Gray’s Inn Griffin Programme will be recruiting its 2024-25 volunteer mentors.

The programme is the second phase of the Inn’s outreach initiative, known as GAP (The Griffin Access Programme). The scheme involves mentors teaching advocacy skills to sixth-form students from partnered state schools across the country, culminating in a mock trial at the Inn in the summer of 2025.

Griffin is the foundation of the Inn’s outreach programme, specifically aimed at students from disadvantaged backgrounds who show promise in public speaking and an interest in exploring the bar.

The programme is also an excellent opportunity for mentors to develop their advocacy skills, which will certainly enhance pupillage applications, and to meet practising Members of the Inn.

Please attend this open evening to learn more about the programme, ask any questions, and gain tips on what we expect from applicants to become mentors.
