Angela Hall
The King has appointed Angela Hall to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Clerkenwell & Shoreditch County Court, with effect from 13 April 2026.
Angela Hall will be known as District Judge Hall. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2000. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2021.

Susan George
The King has appointed Susan George to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Barnet County Court, with effect from 10 June 2026.
Susan George will be known as District Judge George. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1990. She was appointed as a Fee paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2013.

Master Douglas Wilson
The Cabinet Secretary, with the approval of the Prime Minister, has appointed Douglas Wilson as the new Treasury Solicitor, HM Procurator General and Permanent Secretary, Government Legal Department (GLD). The HM Procurator General aspect of the role is made by Royal Warrant and has been approved by the King.
