Each year, a Gray’s Inn team enters the Vis Moot (The Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot). Current student Members can apply to join the Vis Team 2025 – 2026.
International commercial arbitration is recognised as the dispute resolution mechanism of choice for many parties to cross-border transactions. Lawyers based in the UK handle some of the most complex and high value international commercial arbitrations in the world.

This is part one of the process – those who are successful will be invited to the Inn for an assessment day on Sunday 28 September 10:00 – 16:00
Eligibility criteria
Team members must be registered students as of the cut-off date, which is the day that the memorandum for claimant is due in December. Students working for a masters or doctor degree are also eligible, unless they have been admitted to the practice of law. Similarly, students at a school that is dedicated to preparation for the bar examination are eligible. However, students who are concurrently working in a law office may not be eligible, depending on the type of work they have been or are currently engaged in. In case of doubt as to the eligibility of a student, Dr. Christopher Kee, Prof. Dr. Stefan Kroell or Mag. Patrizia Netal should be consulted.
