Join us for the Gray’s Inn Barristers’ Committee (GIBC) Summer get together, bringing together Members from the Northern and North Eastern Circuits for an evening of networking and camaraderie. Honouring Lady Justice Amanda Yip DBE.
Dame Amanda Yip (pictured) is a Lady Justice of Appeal and is currently Deputy Senior Presiding Judge for England and Wales. She is a proud member of the Northern Circuit, having practised at the bar in Liverpool from 1991 to 2017. She took silk in 2011, practising in personal injury and clinical negligence work. She was a High Court Judge from 2017 to 2025 assigned to the King’s Bench Division and conducting high profile criminal trials, including those relating to the shooting of 9-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel in her own home and the murder of transgender teenager Brianna Ghey. She has been a Bencher of Gray’s Inn since 2015.
