The Inn is delighted to note the Judicial appointment of the following Gray’s Inn Members in April 2026.

Richard Wood

The Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable David Lammy MP, has appointed Richard Wood to be a Salaried Employment Judge of the Employment Tribunals (England and Wales).

Richard Wood will be assigned to the South East Region with effect from 28 April 2026.

Richard Wood will be known as Employment Judge Wood. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1995. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber, in 2013.

Recorders

The King has appointed 61 Recorders on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill. The appointments will take effect on 11 May 2026.
