Susan Evans
The Lady Chief Justice is pleased to announce that, following an Expressions of Interest exercise, HHJ Susan Evans KC has been appointed as Resident Judge at Bournemouth Combined Court for a period of four years commencing from 18 July 2025. The Lady Chief Justice wishes HHJ Susan Evans KC well in her new role.

Neil Calver
The Lady Chief Justice, with the concurrence of the Lord Chancellor, has announced the appointment of Mr Justice Neil Calver as a Presiding Judge.
Mr Justice Neil Calver was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1987 and took silk in 2006. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2009, and a High Court Judge in October 2020.
Presiding Judges are responsible for the deployment of the judiciary and allocation of cases on their Circuit. They also have a responsibility for general supervision of judges on their circuits.
