Anne Hudd
The King has appointed Anne Hudd to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at the Central Family Court, with effect from 10 November 2025.
Anne Hudd will be known as Her Honour Judge Hudd. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2000. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2013 and as a District Judge in 2016.

Stacy Newnham-Payne
The King has appointed Stacy Newnham-Payne to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the Midlands Circuit, based at Birmingham Crown Court, with effect from 26 January 2026.
Stacy Newnham-Payne will be known as Her Honour Judge Newnham-Payne. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2010. She was also called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2014. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2020, and as a District Judge in 2023.

Thomas Moran
The King has appointed Thomas Moran to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Newcastle Combined Court Centre, with effect from 24 November 2025.
Thomas Moran will be known as His Honour Judge Moran. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1996. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2012, and as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Health, Education and Social Care Chamber, in 2013.
He was also appointed as a Recorder in 2018.

Beatrice Prevatt
The King has appointed Beatrice Prevatt to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Bromley County Court, with effect from 24 November 2025.
Beatrice Prevatt will be known as Her Honour Judge Prevatt. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1985. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2013 and as a District Judge in 2016.

Edward Franklin
The King has appointed Edward Franklin to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Snaresbrook Crown Court, with effect from 5 January 2026.
Edward Franklin will be known as His Honour Judge Franklin. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2006. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2023.
