The Inn has 9 flats available for our Members and Members of the other Inns who have been called to the Bar. The flats are situated in the heart of the Inn, in 10 South Square, with easy access to other Inn facilities such as the Library, Hall lunch and the Bridge Bar during the week.

How far in advance can I book?
Gray’s Inn Members can book online up to a year in advance of their stay. Members of the other Inns can book online up to two weeks in advance of their stay.
What if I want to stay during August or December closures?
During these closures staff are at a reduced level and annual maintenance is undertaken. Gray’s Inn Members who are looking to stay during these closures can get in touch by emailing the Accommodation team and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
How do I book accommodation?
You can search our availability for the overnight accommodation by scrolling to the bottom of this page. Please note, all bookings are made through the website and we are unable to take accommodation bookings by phone.
If you are a Member, you will need to complete your booking with your existing GIOS credentials. If you are a non-member and have not stayed at Gray’s Inn, you will first have to register yourself via the Gray’s Inn Online System (GIOS) and using these details, you’ll be able to complete bookings.
Can I book a flat on behalf of someone else?
As detailed in our terms and conditions, it is not permitted to book overnight accommodation for third parties, including family or friends, unless the booking Member is also staying in the accommodation. The Member must be staying in the accommodation for the duration of the booking.
I can’t find availability for the date I need. Can you tell me if the dates become available?
If no flats are showing for your chosen dates, it means we are fully booked. The availability displayed online is the same that we have access to. If you would like to be added to our waiting list, please email us with your contact details and preferred dates.
What are the room rates and how do I pay?
See Rates and Payment for full details of the daily rates of each flat. All payments for accommodation are made at the time of booking.
What facilities can I find in the accommodation?
All flats come with:
- Fully fitted kitchens with tea, coffee, UHT milk, sugar and condiments provided
- Bath and shower (except Field Court Double and the Slynn Flat which have walk-in showers only)
- Linen and towels
- Iron and ironing board
- Free WiFi
In addition to the facilities provided above, you can also take advantage of the Bridge Bar, serving breakfast, lunch and a late menu on weekdays.
What time is check in and check out?
Check-in is anytime from 3pm. On your day of arrival, you will collect your keys from the Porters’ Lodge. Please bring proof of ID (for example your passport / driving licence / credit card) and your booking confirmation email.
Check-out is by 10am. On your day of departure please return your keys to the Porters’ Lodge.
Can I arrange early check-in or late check-out?
This is not usually available, but we may be able to accommodate requests in exceptional circumstances. Please email us with your request.
What housekeeping is included?
Daily housekeeping is not provided. However, for stays of 7 nights or more, a flat clean will be arranged.
What parking is available?
Unreserved parking spaces are available at the Inn. Parking cannot be pre-booked. Since 1 January 2026 our partner, Euro Car Parks, operates an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system across the Estate on our behalf allowing visitors to pay on departure or prebook in advance (but not a specific space). Do you provide cots or high chairs?
We don’t supply cots or high chairs, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Can you provide extra beds?
We unfortunately cannot provide extra put-up beds due to our fire safety strategy, which stipulates that the number of guests must correspond to the permanent bed capacity in the flat.
How do I cancel my booking?
You can manage or cancel bookings through our website, provided the required notice (3 days prior to arrival) is given. Once logged in, click on ‘My Account’ at the top of the page. You’ll see ‘Dashboard’ and ‘Bookings’ on the right-hand side of the screen. Click on ‘Bookings,’ and it will show all of your past and future bookings, with a cancel button next to those that can be cancelled.
