Both commercial and residential tenants of the Inn can enjoy the use and benefits of various facilities within the Inn.

Room and Event Hire

The Inn offers Members, tenants and the public the finest venue hire. We have up to eight rooms and can accommodate events from meetings & lectures to receptions, dinner and celebration of life events which includes weddings, retirement dinners and wakes.

If you’re looking for a hidden Summer Party Venue, Festive Christmas celebration, unforgettable celebration to mark your Wedding, a gathering to mark your retirement or anything in between we have venue space to accommodate all your requirements. A number of basement units are available to let for personal or commercial storage.  Rents start from £100 per month with a minimum term of three months. Please contact Tim Bell in the Estates Department for further details and availability.

You can attend various events throughout the year as a Gray’s Inn tenant, such as our annual Birkenhead Lecture, the partnered City of London Law Society Lecture, and our Summer Concert in June.


The Inn’s Library at 5 South Square is open to all Members (including student members) of the four Inns of Court and tenants of the Inn.

The Library contains an extensive selection of physical and electronic law resources and collections.

The Bridge Bar

The Bridge Bar is open during term and is available to all tenants of the Inn and their guests. The Bridge Bar offers a varied selection of drinks and food including breakfast and lunch.

Lunch in Hall


Lunch is served daily in hall during term and open to all Members and tenants of the Inn and their guests. Discounts are available for students and pupils of the Inn. You can reserve tables in advance for large groups.


There are approximately 240 car and motorbike parking spaces around the Inn available to Members and tenants. Daily and annual permits are available.


The main Porters’ Lodge at the High Holborn entrance is manned 24 hours a day, every day with a duty officer also available on site. A CCTV system, operated by the Inn, exists across the Estate for purposes of crime prevention and detection and the safety of persons within the Estate.
