There are many paths to practice and a wide range of career opportunities available to barristers.

We have explored the careers of 5 extraordinary Gray’s Members, each of whom has made their mark on the law.

Find out about their diverse, rewarding and exciting careers that found their roots in Gray’s Inn.

For support with your career journey, students and pupils can take advantage of career development including the mentoring scheme, one to one career advice, and a series of Qualifying Sessions and practical advice sessions. Members can access the Student Mentoring Scheme,

Mentoring for practitioners is also available for second-six pupils, junior barristers, and barristers who are movers or returners (barristers returning to practice (returners) following a period of absence, or considering a move of location or practice area (movers).

Listen to the AGIS (Association of Gray’s Inn Students) podcast in which Captain Sarah Gerrard speaks about her path to the Bar and life as a Barrister in the armed forces.
