The Inn’s scholarships are available to all, irrespective of background, to support students to become barristers.
If you receive a Bar Course Scholarship, you will receive a minimum award of £5,000 and further means-tested funding is available. Last year, we awarded 88 scholarships and our maximum award was £23,000.
The merit assessment criteria are considered from the following:
- Academic ability
- Advocacy
- Drive and determination
- Problem solving
- Motivation to succeed
