We’re searching for wigs and gowns to support the next generation of barristers.
For those starting out on a career at the Bar, the costs can really add up. For new pupils, this also includes the cost of purchasing a wig and gown.
If you have a wig and/or gown that are no longer in use and are still in good condition, please consider donating them to the Inn. Perhaps you have recently taken silk, secured a judicial appointment or retired. Don’t leave your old barrister gown gathering dust.
These vital donations will be offered to our student and pupil Members by our AGIS (Association of Gray’s Inn Students) committee later in the year.
How to donate a wig and gown
If you can donate, please bring your donation to our Reception. We are open Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm. Find us.
Alternatively, we can accept by post. The Inn is unable to pay for delivery costs. Check our address.
Please note that we are unable to accept any other items and only wigs and gowns can be received by the Inn.
