Over 300 legal professionals, from students to senior judiciary, recently convened for the Joint Dinner of all the Malaysian Chapters of the Inns of Court.
The event was held in Kuala Lumpur on Friday 10 February, with an aim to bring Inn alumni together in Malaysia.
The Vice-President of Gray’s Inn Alumni in Malaysia, Tunku Farik, a senior practitioner specialising in insurance law, led on the organisation of the event. He invited Master of the Bench, Hodge Malek KC, to attend and deliver a speech.
Master Malek chose to focus on the value of being a Member of an Inn of Court; looking to camaraderie, education and collegiate links as the three tenets of membership.
A recording from our Treasurer, Lady Justice Nicola Davies, was also screened in which the Treasurer extended her position on taking a proactive approach on inclusivity.
