His Honour Judge Tariq Sadiq
Following an Expressions of Interest exercise, the Lord Chief Justice is pleased to announce the appointment of two Designated Civil Judges.
One of whom is His Honour Judge Tariq Sadiq, who has been appointed as the Designated Civil Judge for Lincolnshire with effect from 1 May 2023.
The Lord Chief Justice wishes His Honour Judge Sadiq well in his new role.
The appointment follows an ongoing review of Designated Civil Judge areas by the Master of the Rolls and Deputy Head of Civil Justice. The newly created role will provide further civil judicial leadership capacity in these regions as part of a plan to increase the overall proportion of civil leadership posts across England & Wales.

Jennifer Young
The Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP, has appointed Jennifer Young to be a Salaried Employment Judge of the Employment Tribunals (England and Wales).
Jennifer Young will be assigned to the South East England Region with effect from 20 April 2023.
Jennifer Young will be known as Employment Judge Young. She was Called to the Bar by Gray’s Inn in 1998.

Her Honour Judge Lynn Tayton KC
The Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon has appointed Her Honour Judge Tayton KC to be a Senior Circuit Judge based at Central Criminal Court, with effect from 27 April 2023.
Lynn Tayton will continue to be known as Her Honour Judge Tayton KC. She was called to the Bar by Gray’s Inn in 1981 and took Silk in 2006. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2009 and as a Circuit Judge in 2011.
