The Inn is delighted to note the Judicial appointment of the following Gray’s Inn Members in August 2023.

Jeremy David Cook

Jeremy David Cook has been appointed as Senior Master of the King’s Bench Division by the Lord Chief Justice, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has assigned him to the King’s Bench Division with effect from 18 September 2023.

Jeremy David Cook will be known as Senior Master Cook. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1982. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2007, and as a Master of the King’s Bench Division in 2011.

Benjimin Burgher

The Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP, has appointed Benjimin Burgher to be a Salaried Regional Employment Judge of the Employment Tribunals (England and Wales).

Benjimin Burgher will be assigned to the London East Region with effect from 1 September 2023.

Benjimin Burgher will be known as Regional Employment Judge Burgher. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1995. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Employment Judge in 2005 and as a salaried Employment Judge in 2019.
