The Inn is delighted to note the Judicial appointments of the following Gray’s Inn Members in January 2024.
Justin Warshaw KC
The Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr Of Walton-on-the-Hill, has appointed three Deputy High Court Judges, under section 9(4) of the Senior Courts Act 1981, for a single fixed six-year term. The appointments run from 18 January 2024 to 17 January 2030.
The out of the three individuals Justin Warshaw KC has been appointed following an open competition run by the Judicial Appointments Commission.
Timothy Mould KC
The King is pleased to approve the appointment of a Justice of the High Court. This appointment will take effect from 1 February 2024.
The candidate approved as a High Court Judge is Timothy Mould KC.
This appointment will fill a vacancy in the High Court following elevations to the Court of Appeal and confirmed retirements.
Timothy Mould KC will be known as The Honourable Mr Justice Mould. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1987 and took Silk in 2006. He was appointed as a Deputy High Court Judge in 2018.
He will take up appointment on 1 February 2024. The Lady Chief Justice will assign Timothy Mould KC to the King’s Bench Division.
