Alexander Mills
The King has appointed Alexander Mills to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Chelmsford Crown Court with effect from 9 October 2023.
Alexander Mills will be known as His Honour Judge Alexander Mills. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2004. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Tribunal Judge in 2019, as a Recorder in 2019, and as a District Judge in 2021.

David Wilson
The King has appointed David Wilson to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Ipswich Crown Court with effect from 30 October 2023.
David Wilson will be known as His Honour Judge Wilson. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1996. He was appointed as a Tribunal Judge in 2019 as a District Judge (Magistrate’s Court) in 2021 and as a Recorder in 2022.

The King has appointed Ian Newport to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Luton Family Court with effect from 9 October 2023.
Ian Newport will be known as His Honour Judge Newport. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2000. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2019.

The former Lord Chief Justice deployed her to the Midlands Circuit, based at Stafford Combined Court (Crown) with effect from 6 November 2023.
Laura Hobson will be known as Her Honour Judge Laura Hobson. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2003. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal in 2013, and as a Recorder in 2022.

Gareth Branston will be known as His Honour Judge Branston. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1996. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2009, as a Recorder in 2012, and as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2013.

Seanin Gilmore will be known as Her Honour Judge Gilmore. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1996. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010, as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber in 2011, as a District Judge in 2020, and authorised as a Judge of the Court of Protection in 2020.

Hugh Edward Hartley Derbyshire
The King has appointed Hugh Edward Hartley Derbyshire to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Carlisle Combined Court, with effect from 13 November 2023.
Hugh Edward Hartley Derbyshire will be known as District Judge Derbyshire. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2004. In 2020, he was appointed as a Deputy District Judge and a Fee-Paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber.

Paul Goodrum will be known as His Honour Judge Goodrum. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2004 and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2009. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2019.
