Qualifying Sessions
Qualifying Session (QS): 1 QS
Theme: Preparation for Pupillage, Career Development and Wellbeing.
Learning outcomes:
- Discuss the format of online hearings and the key differences with in-person hearings.
- Identify best practice and sources of advice for junior practitioners relating to advocacy for virtual hearings.
- Discuss the nature of advocacy, specifically submissions and witness handling, in a virtual hearing.
- Consider the perspectives of judges and practitioners on the future virtual hearings.
This QS relates to the following elements of the Professional Statement for Barristers: 1.3, 1.4, 1.16, 1.17, 2.1, 3.1, 3.2, 3.4, 3.5, 4.1, 4.4
