There are approximately 240 unreserved spaces available across the Inn at South Square, Gray’s Inn Square, Verulam Buildings or Raymond Buildings.
Our partner, Euro Car Parks, operates an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system across the Estate on our behalf allowing visitors to pay on departure or prebook in advance (but not a specific space). Parking can be purchased by Members, tenants, nearby occupiers and visitors to the Inn. Spaces cannot be pre-allocated to daily or annual permit holders and are available on a first come first served basis only.
The Inn has 36 Electric Vehicle parking bays across the Estate. Electric vehicle charging is only available to annual permit holders. Enquiries should be made via email to the Inn’s parking team as this facility is managed by the Inn separately to car parking.

To purchase an annual parking permit please contact Euro Car Parks. Residents of the Inn should contact the Security Manager, Ashley Williams, for an annual permit.
There is a twenty-minute grace period for deliveries, taxis and drop off / pickups but after that expires charges apply.
Payment can be made before arriving at the Inn or in person via the following means:
- The ECPparkbuddy App available from your App provider
- The ECPparkbuddy website
- At the Raymond Gate terminal located on the wall of the Security Lodge by that entrance and exit gate
- At the Gray’s Inn Square terminal located on the wall by the tunnel between that square and Verulam Buildings

All payments are via card only and exit will not be possible unless payment has been made in full for the entire period of parking. If a prebooked parking slot is overrun, it can be topped up online or at one of the payment locations. Leaving without making full payment will result in a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) being issued by Euro Car Parks which the Inn will have no ability to control.
If you are not a Member of the Inn and believe that your parking charge is incorrect, you must pay, exit and then contact Euro Car Parks. Inn Security staff cannot resolve parking conflicts or waive charges. No concessions are offered and Blue / White Badge holders may make use of reserved disabled parking bays but pay standard rates for parking.
Member dispensations for Inn business
Members undertaking specific roles or activities will continue to benefit from certain dispensations on a preapproved basis.
Dispensation may be authorised for the following:
- AGIS and GIBC event organisers are permitted free parking the day of an event
- Masters of the Bench can park free of charge when performing a governance or education duty on behalf of the Inn such as attending Pension, Management Committee, Education Department events, Working Groups and Committee Meetings but not for ticketed or social events
- Chapel – Parking for those attending a service is free of charge for the service and for the duration of lunch if attending on a Sunday. Attendance at Sunday lunch alone does not qualify for free parking.
- Resident’s guests – Parking for a guest of residential tenants is free of charge on weekdays after 6pm until 8am the next day. Parking is also free on a weekend but not on Bank Holidays. Parking charges reapply from 8am the next day in the week and from Monday morning following a weekend. One guest vehicle permitted per 24hr period. Those requiring to park regularly to provide medical or care support to a resident may apply to the Under Treasurer (email the Inn’s parking team) for special dispensation.
- Students and Members of Hall – Can park free of charge when performing a governance activity or duty on behalf of the Inn such as attending Education Department events (as a trainer or volunteer, not to attend a QS), Working Groups and Committee Meetings but not for ticketed or social events
- For those with accessibility issues with business within the Inn exemptions may be given on a case-by-case basis
Inn Security staff cannot resolve parking conflicts or waive charges. If you are a Member of the Inn attending on preapproved Inn related business and believe your charge is incorrect please pay, exit and then email the Inn’s parking team with full details so this can be investigated.
