Manuscript 22 (MS22) – St. Gregory’s Homilies by Gregory the Great

There are forty homilies in this volume, regarding the Gospels and the book of Ezekiel. They are by Gregory the Great, a saint and 6th century Pope.

    A small folio from the fifteenth century, written in Latin on 143 leaves. These 40 homilies can be found in many manuscripts but are often placed in different orders. The manuscript includes an index. 

    The manuscript is bound in the original tawed leather over wooden boards. It has been repaired and rebacked and has a brass chain staple.
