A manuscript from the thirteenth century on 154 leaves. This manuscript was probably written at the Cistercian Abbey of Lindores in Fife, Scotland, however it came to the Inn from the Fransican convent in Chester. It is written in several distinctive hands. The manuscript is written in Latin and includes penwork initials alongside the use of a punctus flexus, a medieval punctuation mark indicating short pause.
The manuscript has its original binding of tawed leather over wooden boards. It has a modern cover of brown goatskin and a brass chain staple.
