This is a small folio manuscript from the twelfth century, written on 98 leaves. The manuscript is originally from a Fransiscan convent at Chester. It is written in Latin and includes many illustrations and decorated initials, including a historiated initial showing a man and a dragon.
The manuscript has a medieval binding of tawed leather over thick wooden boards. It has been rebound with modern brown goatskin and has a brass chain staple.
