A small folio manuscript from the fifteenth century, on 72 leaves. It is written in Latin in cursive gothic script with an illuminated border at the beginning of the text. We can tell from specific names used and a referenced sermon that the author of this text was likely from East Anglia.
The manuscript is in a medieval binding of tawed leather, which is stained red and bound over wooden boards. It has been rebacked and has a brass chain staple.
More information can be found in A Catalogue of the Ancient Manuscripts Belonging to the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn by Alfred Horwood, published 1869.
