A folio manuscript from the first half of the fifteenth century, written in Latin on 191 leaves. There are 4 old fly-leaves at the beginning, on the last of which a 16th century hand has written, “Opera Grostesti olim Lincolniensis Episcopi.” Robert Grosteste, the author of the text, was Bishop of Lincoln from 1234 – 1253. The fourth text can also be found in MS.18
Some of the bottom text of the last twelve leaves have been damaged by water, and some have been wholly destroyed.
The manuscript is bound in original tawed leather, stained red, over wooden boards. It has been rebacked and has a brass chain staple.
