A small folio manuscript from the thirteenth century, on 248 leaves. The text is in Latin and the manuscript comes from the Franciscan convent at Chester.

The text regarding the death of King Arthur after his battle with Mordred is a generally unknown Arthurian tale. There are three old parchment fly-leaves at the beginning of the volume which include treatises on Physics, and the 3rd has a table of contents.

The manuscript is bound in seventeenth century calf, possibly over medieval wooden boards. It has been rebacked with calf and has a brass chain staple.

More information can be found in A Catalogue of the Ancient Manuscripts Belonging to the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn by Alfred Horwood, published 1869.
