The Griffin Access Programme (GAP) aims to demystify the career at the Bar and provides a route into the profession for pre-university students that demonstrate the potential to succeed.
The scheme involves Griffin mentors teaching advocacy skills to sixth-form students from partnered state schools across the country, culminating in a mock trial at the Inn in the summer.
The programme is also an excellent opportunity for mentors to develop their advocacy skills and meet practising Members of the Inn, whilst inspiring a future generation of barristers.
Status: Applications are closed. The next opportunity to apply to become a Griffin mentor will be in spring 2027.
Please note the following selection criteria:

- be able to effectively communicate legal ideas to sixth form students
- be reliable and have good organisational skills and
